再來就是覺得D好像有改變句意的嫌疑...
因為覺得C比較順而選C

A more....than B 時AB要同類
D句中manufacturers to make more fuel-efficient small cars than those at any other time in their........
原句應該是Today’s technology allows manufacturers to make more fuel-efficient small cars than manufacturers made small car at any other time in their production history.
藍字部分應省略為they did,D用了those代manufacturers,卻又省略了did,比較不同類,加上之後in their production history中用their代manufacturers又可代small cars造成指代不清,C中those很明確的代small cars

感覺上比較同類時,舊資訊可省可不省,要看省或不省後比較是否變成不同類或是怪異,例如
people eat more food now than (people ate food) in the past.
括號中可以改成those did但要是改成those就變成比較不同類了(people eat跟people比)

這是我目前比較這三題得到的一個小結論,這三題除了省略這方面外,其他選項還有其他錯的原因,所以我覺得省略舊資訊與否似乎不是判斷答題的重要指標......
