小弟的拙見是:

此句為主要子句,應為S+V+O的型態,不應有連接詞等贅詞出現
且答案 B 中的 which 指代不清,也就是說 which 代替誰?
所以A B D 等答案可刪除
根據賴水信P34 注意2 中所提到的"對照"
The planet Jupiter 應與 among the planet 對照
所以選 C

第一眼,As....,省略型態的副詞子句,非重點,快速瀏覽
第二點,____ planet...,問題所在且是主要子句,仔細看
第三眼,among...in...after...,介詞片語,非重點,快速瀏覽
第四點,找主動詞,____ planet Jupiter做主詞,ranks當動詞
第五眼,看選項,when連接詞,in which介+關代,and連接詞,都錯
答案選C, the planet Jupiter

我的看法:
1.plante是單數可數名詞,前面一定要有限定詞,而選項中已告知必為限定冠詞the
因為plante後接同位語Jupiter(專有名詞)加以限定,所以不可用其他冠詞,如a,an
2.the+序數+名詞,序數做形容詞用;ranks third做副詞在後位修飾動詞,不加the

對等連接詞(and,but,or),只要連接的東西結構一致即可,不一定都要完整句子
從屬連接詞,如副詞子句(although...,because...,when...),形容詞子句(which...),名詞子句(that...)
基本上都是連接完整句子,但有時為了簡潔起見,而有所省略

which 是關係代名詞 必須要有明確的先行詞指代才可以 在這題裡面 並沒有先行詞可以讓which指代 如果swl115認為 which的先行詞是earth的話 這樣句子怪怪的吧 本句是說 "當夜晚從地球看天空的時候 木星的亮度是排列在第三的位置 在金星及火星之後"
