我選C... C有什麼錯嘛??
當我再做這種underline很長的問題時,都不是很能分的出來正確的句子結構
像這題,我就會覺得C跟D好像也沒啥差別,就不知道怎麼選...
誰可以給我指點一下呢?

個人覺得(C)似乎有改變原句句意的嫌疑

因為Austin是先被受傷折磨"之後",才sat out,somtimes兼差當播報員

(working的用法,我把它看成是分辭構句,跟and work應該相同,表伴隨發生,跟sat out平衡)

(C)好像是說plague跟won.sat out.working是同時發生

跟原句有意思上的出入

(D)是用分辭構句修飾tennis celebrity Tracy Austin

應該就是正確表達因果的方式了

plagued by injuries放在句首修飾整句,代表他一直以來都因傷困擾。
plagued by injuries放在who子句裡,則表示他在得冠軍的當時身上有傷。

2.
sit something out. Longman
sit out一定要接個名詞什麼的。
sit something ↔ out phrasal verb
1 to stay where you are and do nothing until something finishes, especially something boring or unpleasant
She had two weeks to sit it out while she waited to hear if she had got the job. She was prepared to sit out the years of Jack's jail sentence.
2 to not take part in something, especially a game or dance, when you usually take part
Johnson sat out the game with a shoulder injury.
