[問題] 對大牛總結中的一些疑問

裡頭有些點我不是很明白or確定

請大家給點意見:

1.maybe出現錯原則

-->我知道maybe是比較口語的,

應該盡量用properble

不過maybe真的有這樣的原則嗎?

2.Continue不用進行時原則。

-->continue + V-ing 或 to V都是有看過的

個人筆記上是說兩者相同

難道真的進行式有什麼不妥嗎?

3.the reason [why]

-->這樣的用法有誤(不簡潔)嗎?

這點我相信，看看longman對於maybe的解釋：

這點我抱持保留的態度，我認為兩種都可以對。

-->這樣的用法有誤(不簡潔)嗎?

對！不簡潔，用下面的簡單句型就看的出來了，更不用說SC裡那些精雕細琢的句子：

The broken clock was the reason why I got up late.
I got up late because of the broken clock.
I got up late because(since) the clock was broken.
I got up late for the broken clock.
I got up late, for the clock was broken.

但probable較正式 > maybe
應該是當兩個同時出現時選probable

用ving算unidomatic
字典跟ets詳解以ets為主
