2. By looking at the overall sentence structure in A, you may find out there are two sentence fragments plus one complete clause (the Erie Canal connected..).
Thus, A has wrong sentence struture.

3. Keep in mind that Seldom ....... is served as a modifier modifying the subject" the Erie Canal. This is a very typical sentence struture often occured in GMAT questions.

這題莫北北有講過
如果用and的話 會造成句意怪異：=>整條全程運河都很少超過40尺寬且12尺深(全運河沒有幾處40尺寬且12尺深，但是50尺寬且11尺深很多？？？)
用or的話句意正確： =>運河很少超過40尺寬或12尺深(運河沒有幾處寬超過40尺或深超過12尺的)

只是整句句意很怪所以不選A

我認為A的錯很明顯
就是那個it
<seldom (to be).....but running......>整句是用來修飾the Erie Canal
所以A中it 是多餘的 且文法上也不對
