D錯是因為instead of 後面只能加動名詞或名詞 不能加任何介詞

(C) 若是用 but 的話，則是對稱最工整的。不過印象中考古題還是OG 裡面，在走投無路下真的有用 and not 來表示對稱的答案。

本題在考硬綁綁比較，在考對等連接詞

instead of 是介詞的功能 rather than是對等連接詞
因此前後平衡的問題，只有rather than存在→B錯，沒得比，太不平衡

C，and不對，轉折語氣要用but，但C就算用了but還是錯，
因為and/but 都是對等連接詞， not from x but from y，本題的x是名詞the sun，y是動詞generating，故C錯

D錯 instead of 是介係詞功能，不能再接介係詞by

E錯 insteand of 接了名詞，文法上ok，但句意上ambiguous,顯得是...body heat..from (the sun) instead of (body heat)，造成句意詭異：體熱是由太陽而來而不是從體熱而來？

回到A，大家對it有問題，我的看法與freshmanduke相同，it很明顯指代heat；而重覆的by可以省略
