Please be informed that in-person interviews in Taiwan are coming in January. Interviews are by invitation only. Candidates must have already submitted, at the minimum: an application and fee, resume, GMAT score, and (if required) TOEFL score. You do not need to submit a fax-back form. Candidates selected for an interview will be notified via e-mail.

The interviews are scheduled from Jan. 25 to 27 (right before Lunar New Year). Please arrange your schedule earlier... Any question about interview, feel free to let us know!

Hi~everyone

I am very interested in applying Business schools with healthcare related courses. I noticed from Emory's 2005-2006 viewbook that Emory has some courses concerning healthcare management, ex: Healthcare Management and Markets. However, I cannot find these courses from the elective courses in Emory's website. Can you please check for me:

1. Where can I find the description of these courses?
2. Do these courses belong to MBA's elective courses?
3. I notice that healthcare management belongs to "EMERGING TOPICS". What does it mean?

To answer your questions, Emory is planning on adding Healthcare as one of its concentration recently. I think that's why it's categorized as an "emerging topic" on the website.

As to the current healthcare resources in GBS:

1) Healthcare Club
Healthcare Club focuses on healthcare issues and careers. Recent events have included: Biotech Venture Capital Panel, Healthcare Career Panel, and a networking event with Rollins School of Public Health.

2) Healthcare professor (to name a few...)

3) Healthcare course
This semester GBS has "Healthcare management and markets". I believe they are adding more in the coming semesters.

Since the headquarter of CDC (Center of Disease Control) is located in Atlanta, I believe there are many healthcare related job opportunities here. That's also one of the reason makes more GBS students interested in healthcare industry.

HI~guys~thanks a lot for your help~really appreciate^^
I will not consider MBA/MPH joint degree.
I just want to take some courses concerning healthcare to understand this industry better.
So, is "Healthcare management and markets" the only related course this semester?
Or there are still some other courses?
Take Austin for example, although it doesn't have Healthcare concentration, it allows MBA students to take 9 credits outside the business school(ex: health education or pharmacy department) to fulfill elective credits.
Does Emroy also allow the MBA students to do so?

Yes, our business school will be flexible in giving you options to take classes in different schools (law school or other departments). The main concern is, there are way more resources than you can take in b-school. People choose b school to make use of its resources and thus this flexibilty won't come first in choosing a good b school. And of course, since Emory medical school and public health school are high-ranked in the United States, I believe you can find your preferred balance here.

May I know how many Taiwanese students does Goizueta enroll for one-year program every year? Is there any Taiwanese student/alumni in one-year program? If yes, may I have his/her contact info?

I am not Pudding but I think I can answer your question.

As far as I know, there were no Taiwanese in one-year program since 2003 ( I dont know if there was any before 2003 though). However, some of two-year Taiwaneses students got both one-year and two-year admission and they decided to join two-year program.

It's very flexible during our application process. You can apply for both programs with one application. (just simply check two check boxes) For most cases, one year program may have lower requirement of GMAT but longer working experience. It's good for people who want to continue the same career path. If you are a job switcher, you will be less benefit from one-year program since you would miss the change of summer internship.
