Short Talk:

(1) Biology: Sorry ! I totally forgot this lecture but it is not
difficult.

(2) Architecture:古代一種建築風格,它註重main buildings 週圍
landscapes的設計, 舉例; ancient China的宮
庭前面都有一片大廣場. 這種建築風格influence
後來的city landscape design. For example,
一個大廣場通常was located in the center of
the city where people like playing and
also become a transportation
center...ect.

Comparing two reactions providing energy and food to creatures: 光合作用:sun light + green leaves.
化學合成作用: (Chemosynthesis): This reaction is properly to take place in the deep seafloor because the sun light can't reach this place and there is no green plants here.Therefore, 光合作用不會在那裡發生.化學合成作用發生在seafloor 的hydrothermal vents處. Scenistis found the animals that live around hydrothermal vents make their living from the chemicals coming out of the seafloor in the vent fluids! Because they are a local food source, hydrothermal vents typically have high biomass.
Scientists theorized that the Earth 在形成初期,其creatures depend on 化學合成作用 to get food and energy not 光合作用. 因為當時的environment很harsh並且沒 green plants (有題).

文法: I just want 11 point. How can I do to achieve it? 無奈!

第一篇:
講鳥的築巢行為(nest),講了很多種鳥的築巢行為,比較特別的幾個有舉例
例如Wren(鷦鷯)會在下雨天築巢因為這樣可以比較flexible
還有列出grass跟其他兩種事鳥類築巢的主要materials
(有題問下列何者不是material去文中找就可以了)
第一段有提到鳥類下蛋在巢中的行為跟repitle很像 because their eggs are so vulnerable, they need nests for protecting the eggs.
Q: 問鳥類的什麼跟爬蟲類很像 Ans: lay eggs
最後一段再講bowerbird特別之處,大意是公的bowerbird沒有漂亮的羽毛
所以她們求偶的方式woo (向...求婚) 是去找一些colorful的東西(像是fruit peel水果皮)排列還怎樣的,每隻都有自己特別喜歡的顏色 they will build some construction for attracting female birds . these constructions are up to as a person’s tall

第二篇:講solar system 各個plant temperature不同的factor
考主旨題(我選的就是上一行寫的)
主要在講兩個factor 其中一個就是跟太陽的距離離越近越溫暖,有一個law就是規則就是相鄰的兩個星球溫度差一個固定的range 然後接下來就是在舉例說明那個law 還滿好懂得有說這個law也適用在別的solar system
另一個影響溫度的factor就是greenhouse gas(一種使plant warmer的氣體)
如果地球沒有greenhouse gas地球也不會這麼溫暖,
舉例:Venus離太陽較Mecury離太陽遠但是hotter因為Venus有greenhouse gas-->有題:問文中的former是指哪個名詞,我選Venus
好像還有考插入句要插入"Despite this distance,....大意是說金星比水星熱" 我是插在前面有提到distance的那句後面
對了還有提到為什麼plant要有生物的要件就是要有水水在液體的狀態所需的溫度range 非常小(考 narrow = limited) 所以其他星球都找不到生物

第三篇:magazine的mass circulation
Between 1880 and 1890 magazine只給well-educated的人讀而且依附在book publisher. 後來因為印刷科技的進步之後, 才廣為流傳(年代不是很確定不過不重要)
所以延伸到middle level中產階級(這裡有題:問印刷科技的影響我選使magazine變的attractive and affordable) 印刷使圖片更精美更attractive 最後一段式再講advertisting 跟 magazine publisher的關係
有三個原因導致她們關係緊密(有考EXCEPT題 Ans: the xxx has ability to delivery the magazine to the customers)一個是brand-name product 的漸漸流行, 一個是industrial development, (其他一個有點忘了) 所以即使magazine的成本比售價高也不會虧錢因為可以賺廣告商的費用這裡有考segment=portion

第四篇有關考古的
不知道是不是印地安人文化, they live along the river so they are named after the river name: “FERxxxx” Scientists found that 她們的建築物很有特色,最著名的有三樣東西 basket pottery, xxxx, 其中一樣生產量少(rare),另外兩樣poor reserved
(有題問為什麼後面兩樣不足以證明這個文明的site:我選已經不是originally existed的樣子)
