我想請問一下以下這句話是不是在說汽車駕駛人估計他可以穿越highway的時間，若是small car approaching比large truck approaching少？

會有這樣的差異是視覺上的錯覺！
題目要找一個前提，所以，要假設small car 及 big truck速度一樣，
也就是比較基準要相同，才可以證明只有視覺上的錯覺是唯一影響結論的一個因素！

他的意思是
汽車駕駛人會有一種錯覺:如果當他在開小車穿越馬路,所需花費的時間較短,當他開著大車時,所需花費時間較長,換句話說,就是會有一種大車的速度較小車慢的"錯覺"

那既然他是一種因為車子大小產生的"錯覺",所以,另外一個要素:速度,就必須是在相同的狀態下來比較的

不知道我這樣的解釋對你來說清不清楚
