對於E有一個疑問

within them的them是指代什麼呢?

句意是不是應該指chambers,可是這裡會不會變成指tourists呢?

due to 在這邊的用法是不行的嗎?

due to 一般在gmat都錯，但A.B更大的錯誤是在its的指代。原文的humidity是用來談chambers 而非pyramid.
within them 的them 的確不恰當。但排除AB後，之後CDE都有them.
1. 以邏輯來思考，humidity不可能是指tourists. 一定是用來講建築物。
2. chambers 是這句的主詞，所以them指chambers沒有問題。

至於D用because of 後面不能加動詞
可是後面有

我覺得D最大的問題是在後面make the salt from the stone crystallize
與最後面的fungus was 不平衡

because of 不可以加動詞,應該是指 because of + doing這種情形下吧
這裡的because of + N (moisture) 後頭的句子都是修飾moisture
況且句意來說fungus was growing on the wall是因為有moisture 造成humidity之後才會產生(1)salt crystallize (2) fungus was growing

至於so as to 可不可以這樣用
如果是moisture so high as to 水氣如此高以至於,這樣下可以用,so as to這個用法 主詞要能夠做so as to 的動作
還是humidity so high as to 溼度如此高以至於 這樣的話就不可用so as to
句意感覺起來應該是說溼度高才會造成
(1)salt crystallize (2) fungus was growing
個人認為在這裡so as to 沒有(E)中用 so..that來的好

個人見解, 大家可以討論看看
這邊的句意重點是 raise humidilty的是moisture.
(A) due to非正式用法be due to, 另外, raise humidilty修飾了tourist, its不能指主詞的話, 最近的單數名詞是moisture, 句意怪
(B) due to非正式用法, thereby raising省略的主詞是toursis, its不能指主詞的話, 最近的單數名詞是moisture, 句意怪
(C) 重點是moisture, because之後應該要馬上出現moisture. 另外tourists用過去進行式, which had raise用過去完成, 時間給人的感覺是先raise humidity後toursts were exhaling, 時間順序不對
(D) raising修飾tourists. 選項最後crystallize與沒有畫線的過去進行式不平衡
(E) 重點moisture馬上出現, had raised是misture的動詞, 最後是過去進行式平衡, (E)最好
