嗚嗚~連UCI都不要我了,誰會要我??

現在的心情真是...
自從上次面試後一個月
左等右等
結果UCI竟然給我這樣一封信:

Dear Nicole

Thank you for your interest in The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine. We receive a large number of applications each year, which makes the selection process very competitive. Your application contains many favorable elements; however, the Admissions Committee is unable to make a final recommendation regarding your admission at this time and you have been placed on our waitlist.

Your file is still active and will be re-evaluated on an ongoing basis. You will be notified as soon as a decision is made. We hope this delay does not inconvenience you but it is unavoidable at this time.

真的很失望啊
因為那是我覺得最有可能上的學校
結果竟然給我這個答覆

其實對他們學校還滿失望的
他們一直沒有收到我的GMAT成績
因為他們在 ETS登記的地址是錯的
然後昨天我打電話去問
小姐跟我說 有啊 有你的成績 是510
我說
那是舊成績
我跟他說我之前有fax去我自己的成績單
他跟我說 喔 那就沒關係了

過了十分鐘吧
我想想還是覺得不安心
我又打電話去問
我說,那你有沒有放我fax去的東西在裡面
他就跟我說
我們剛剛收到你的成績了
我說喔 好吧

結果
今天就收到這樣一封信
我就想說是不是因為我GMAT成績的關係
就再打電話去問小姐
我說:你可以幫我查查我的package裡GMAT成績是多少嗎
他想都不想就跟我說:700啦
我說你確定嗎?
他說: 當然啊,你的成績是我放進去的
......
感覺他覺得我很煩一直打電話去問
唉 可是這樣我也死了心
確定不是gmat的問題
可能其他條件都不好吧
嗚
連UCI都不要我....怎麼辦????????

不要灰心
冷靜想想還有什麼可以加強的
針對學校的喜好再補一劑強心針

(以下純屬臆測)
不過也許他是覺得妳GMAT太高了
申請他們學校只是當備胎而已
所以不想先發ADMISSION給妳
等過一兩個月後學生還招不滿時
就會親自打電話來問妳要不要去念了

應該會有機會吧 :)

我也覺得妳overqualified :) 不用擔心妳會有更適合的選擇，若真的UCI是你夢想的學校，那就好好follow up希望很大

如果真的是因為你的profile太好 讓他覺得你是找他當備胎
那你可以說服他你真的會去之類的
當然前提是你真的很想去囉 :P
