請教upper second class honours degree的意思

請教在英國讀書的前輩
我在LSE上看到的Minimum entry requirements寫到關於degree要求如下
Minimum entry requirements are a good upper second class honours degree (preferably in economics) from a UK university or equivalent in an overseas degree
請問upper second class honours degree是什麼意思??

It is a system to classify degrees in UK:-

The best is obviously:

First Class Honour, follows by:

Second Upper (2:1), then,

Second Lower (2:2) and lastly

Third Class.

I think Second Upper can translate loosely into Magna Cum Laude of US system...
