離開 UCLA, 來到 CMU 時是星期三的傍晚, 在 airport 弄丟了我的行李
還好隔天撿了回來
我的 luck 不會就在行李上用掉了吧??
我在一月底的時候申請到 CMU 的 request interview in Taipei
我發了信給 adcom 問說是否能到 campus 去
看了之前的牛哥牛姊說買車要試車的道理
這裡現在白雪皚皚, 19 ~28 F
我星期四逛過了 Tepper 參加了 student lunch 跟 class visit
這是一個很慷慨, 面子做的很好的學校
比起 wharton 在網站上寫 lunch 是 dutch treat
Tepper 提供了 all you can eat 的午餐
Class visit 是隨機的去上課, 老師很多都是印度人 (看來 7/10 在 CMU 的人都是黑頭髮的傳言不假)
印度的口音有時難聽懂 但是 present 的風采倒都是很棒
在課堂上遇到了 Yowei, 親切可人, 風度翩翩
我臨時決定要 on-site interview
schedule 到的時間是 9:30 am
我起了個大早, 外面很冷, 寸步難行
穿過 campus 到 Tepper 時頭髮亂成一片
面試官是 Monique 一位美國黑人女性, 笑容可鞠
她拿著 print 出來的 resume
1. go through your professional experience
2. how you can study and work at the same time? did you get into any difficult situation? (這題我事先沒準備到)
3. leadership experience
4. the most challanging situation, how you overcome it? what did you learn? (這題我也沒完全準備到)
5. what kind of leadership would you like to exhibit and contribute if you go to Tepper school?
6. tell me about your three qualities that you will bring to our school
7. why Tepper?
8. your hobbies
頗一般的, 很制式
回頭大家問我 interview 怎麼樣,
我都只能回答, I can do it better next time.
聊了 40 mins.
