Dear All,
i'm surprised to find that there's such a place for us to exchange ideas and share experiences. It's nice to know that it's not just me who's working hard to study abroad. Although my plan to apply for any graduate school is still quite far ahead, (at least 1.5 years after, 'cause i'm still working hard to save money for tuitions and stuff ...), taking toefl and gre are simply inevitable.
Actually, i've taken IELTS two years ago and i got pretty good grades (not exactly satisfactory to me, but averagely fine according to normal people's standards.) So if anybody needs any advice from IELTS, feel free to come to me. :) So far I've got only TWO WORDS for you regarding how to prepare for IELTS, "READ ECONOMIST." 'Cause if you can manage to think and write like "Economist", getting an 8 on writing is not a problem at all. (i got 8 in writing.)
Here's something about myself:
I'm currently a senior high school english teacher and it's my first year teaching (i'm the so-called 七年級生). I was an english magazine editor last year. I plan to study speech communication or International Relations or Interpretation abroad. Columbia and SIU are my first choices. That's it. :)
Anyway, nice to meet you all.
Thanks for letting me in.
