不過還是稍微寫一下讓大家參考好了...
畢竟都看了那麼多前人的分享:P
Undergraduate:NTU BA
GMAT:700, TOEFL:273, GPA:3.9
Work experience: one year in local securities house, and about 1.5 years in foreign investment trust until now.
Interest:MBA in finance
希望之後還能再收到幾家admissions^^

Cornell is a good choice.

I just talk with two Korea guys after class(current student),
they already get the summer internship in Goldman Sachs. But for Taiwanese, we do not perform well in internship hunting this year ....

Hopefully good news is coming soon !!

跟大家分享一下，我收到了面試邀請。
因為台灣的校友現在沒有空幫忙面試，我又因為私人行程因素很難排定香港校友面試
所以跟學校溝通，也拿到了phone interview的機會，真是鬆了一口氣。
給大家參考，接下來收到面試邀請的人也可以跟學校問問是否可phone interview

我也來分享一下..我也收到了on campus interview的面試邀請
因為本來就有想去幾個學校實地看一看
所以已經約了下星期去Cornell面試
(特此感謝ccuturandot大大..提供給我非常多寶貴的食宿資訊)
回來以後再跟大家分享我的經驗喔~~

分享一下

我二月中也飛過去on campus interview
順便拜訪了多家學校
建議大家有機會去看學校時
千萬不要放過class visit, building tour, or lunch with students
這是很好瞭解學校文化及校風的方式
千萬不要只是走走看看
要真正多跟學生聊天

我是由一位second year student面試
他似乎是一位trainee
interview全程還有一個admission office的人坐鎮旁聽

問題不難 全程約一小時
Walk through your resume?
Why MBA? Why Cornell? What other schools do you apply for?
How do you solve conflict in a team?
How do you contribute to your class?
Tell me an example that you think differently from other people?
The most challenging team environment?
What three things do you want me to tell admission office about you?

特別的是
在interview過後二天
我接到email說有一位admission office的人要打電話給我做follow-up
信中註明不用準備 約十到十五分鐘
但當他真的打給我 卻問我很多問題 再次確認我會不會去念
有一點嚇到....

interview後沒幾天就拿到admission

我個人覺得
我interview前特別再去詳細看過Cornell的網站
以致於我在闡述Why Cornell這一題時十分深入及有把握
那位坐在旁邊的trainer似乎十分贊同的一直點頭
即使後面一二題因為我準備的例子有一點雷同以致於答的不是很好
前面想必幫我拉的不少分
建議大家對於學校要瞭解 對於自己的答案更是要肯定

昨天跟Cornell進行phone interview, interviewer是Ms. Ann Richards。人非常nice, 說話速度不快, 每個字都聽的很清楚。一開始跟我說明這是blind interview, 我的申請文件已經被別人review過, 她手上只有我的履歷表, 還有看過我申請文件的人寫的一些筆記 (真想問她筆記內容是什麼 ) 。她還問我面試小抄準備好了沒, 如此尷尬的問題, 讓我一時不知該回答什麼, 只好哈哈乾笑...

面試時間不長, 大約是30分鐘。面試裡我被問到的問題有：
- Why MBA?
- Why Johnson school?
- Why did you quit your job in XX company?
My answer is that I had to prepare for GMAT. Then she further raised the next question.
- Why can other applicants prepare MBA applications and work at the same time?
- What other schools did you also apply for?
- What are your criteria to choose these schools?
- What will you contribute to Johnson school?
- What personal or professional achievement you are most proud of?
- How do your colleagues describe you? Give 3 qualities.
- What are your hobbies?
- Do you join any community activity?
- What 3 qualities do you think I will use to describe you in the interview report?

I'm also admitted by Cornell. :)

interview之後，不像有些版友沒幾天就收到follow-up phone call(我還為了這個24小時開手機，哈)，我的申請一直沒消沒息到result notification date。那天美東時間傍晚，Cornell的申請系統悄悄的更新了status，我也悄悄的高興了一下。昨晚收到我的interviewer的email，說不好意思沒能跟我通上電話，恭喜我被錄取了!

各位版友在版上提供的訊息真的幫了我很多，謝謝大家!
我的背景：NTU Management School, GMAT 730, TOFEL 280, more than 3 years in two international companies in finance industry.
