put the finishing touches--請問是指已完成還是接近完成呢?謝謝

我覺得是正在完成中的耶, 也就是正在作, 慢慢在完成中, 但言下之意就是還沒完成
因為這是進行式呀!! 如果已經完成應該是finished touches, 如果是接近完成, 應該是almost finished touches

我是這麼覺得啦!! 但你沒有提供答案... 不知有沒有講錯哩

嗯... 這樣一看, 如果是這四個答案, 只能選(A)是沒錯,
但是為什麼用finishing呢? 如果以答案看題目, 不是應該是finished嘛/?

finish應該不是說事情完成了沒有

應該是說完成的那一步

終於找到了
put the final/finishing touches to something是一個片語
在這裡, touches是detail, addition的意思
也就是a small detail that improves or completes something的意思
以上是LONGMAN dictionary說的
因此我想put the final/finishing touches to something應該就是類似做最後的修飾或是做最後的一個步驟之類的意思吧
再看LONGMAN的範例句子
Ex: Emma was putting the finishing touches to the cake.

如果對上這一個題目
也就是早上時已經做了最後的修飾
意即現在已經完成
答案就對了
所以我想應該是這個意思吧
