這題的setting是表伴隨，也就是stunned his family, friends, and neighbors by filing a deed of emancipation,之後，產生了set free的動作
那麼，表達這種概念的，就不能再用and set free
而是setting
我是看不太懂OG的解釋，他的意思不知是不是說 by 之後加setting
反而應該是前面的事，導致後面....setting free....
我覺得這樣的用法可能要和 OG 259的 left...., bringing......
一併參考比較好
