想請教A的magazine publishing 為何不是magazine publication or publishing of magazine??這裡的magazine publishing 是慣用語法嗎??還是magazine做adj用??謝謝!!

magazine publishing 應該是沒有問題的,因為文章內容指的是關於雜誌的出版事宜
而entertain是非常明顯的錯誤,因為news, information都是名詞,所以要改為名詞entertainment

我倒是比較懷疑concern在這裡的用法,為什麼不是寫成concerning或是concerned?

這裡的concern是當名詞用吧...
所以不用寫分詞形式

以下是我的淺見:
1.magazine publishing 是強調動作, 而且這樣用比 publishing of magazine 簡潔
2.entertainment 才是 N, 改成N才和前兩者平衡對稱
3.逗點後面應該是 [, and all are targeted at the audience that the magazine seeks to reach ], 把 and 省略後, are 跟著也得去掉
4.audience 後接 that ~ 形容詞子句, that 作受格時(reach+O)也省略了

但是我有疑問的地方是...
形容詞子句all (of which are) targeted at the audience

為什麼可以省略括號裡面的東西?

一般的簡化不是都留下補語嗎? 為什麼all還在?

結果就有人說那是分詞構句

問題是分詞構句不是副詞子句減化的結果嗎??

因為副詞子句的主詞跟主要子句的主詞不同所以減化時保留下來

形成 S加上分詞...即所謂的獨立片語

形容詞子句也可以降減化??

還是all targeted at the audience其實是副詞子句的減化??

麻煩大大幫忙解答一下謝謝

小弟覺得原句應該是：
The chief editorial concern in magazine publishing is presenting a mix of news, information, and entertainment, and all are targeted at the audience (whom) the magazine seeks to reach.

省略步驟(同Charmin的第3點解釋)：
1. 將連接詞and省略
2. 主詞 all 與主要子句的主詞(concern)不同而保留
3. 將are改成being後省略掉

至於形容詞子句的省略，需關代當主詞才能省略，程序可參考坊間的文法書，而本句的句尾剛好有受格關代whom省略，其就無法省略成分詞的句型
