A 原句為 grew 是動詞。
BCDE 改為growth名詞，已經造成句意改變。
永遠記住： 動詞是比名詞更有力的表達方式。

B. more than that--->代名詞不正確..要用it
因為that應該是指主詞 the growth of the global economy
that頂多只能夠指代到 the growth
idiom: from A to B A.B要平衡 該答案不平衡

C.that which=what 不簡潔
原句是用during來表達在10000年之間,
改成had been for 10000 改變句意

D. what依照句意指的就是前頭的 the growth of the global econ
可是it也是指 the growth of the global econ 句意重複囉唆

關於B選代名詞，大家覺得有上樓上說的這麼critical嗎? 我覺得that就是the growth of the global economy, 好像沒什麼錯???
關於B選的 when agriculture began 我是把它看成一個名詞子句耶...
when 的用法:
used to show which particular time or occasion you are talking about
例句: The best moment was when Barnes scored the winning goal.
不過"名詞子句"就不等於"名詞"，所以from A to B, A, B 都要是名詞才對是嗎?

(B) 的 that = growth 這裡沒有錯;問題出在 10,000 years 不知道是哪個 10,000 years (i.e. 定冠詞不見了,使得句意模糊)

在此的that指代不妥~
that 是指 the growth 還是 the global economy ，或者是the growth of the global economy
有人說是growth (如d大)
你說是 the growth of the global economy
明顯有模糊的問題

that常 用在關代，少用在指代(但不一定就是錯，若後面有修飾詞的話 ex: than that "of sth"的話，就可以清楚表示在指那一個 ，所以that單獨使用會有問題)
指代用it 來會相對來說較好(當然，直接表明更好)
如果用 it (來指the global economy)再加上 did(來指grew)，是不是準確了些許…

再思考from when .... began
1. 逗號有必要否？ 做為補充句子似乎不是那麼必要~
2、 在此題的句意中，beginning of...已經有 when的意涵了…因此when就不須要了！

想請問, 撇開CDE的growth改變句意的問題, 後面的動詞時態有何問題呢??
一開始就把A刪掉, 因為during the 10000 years from the beginning of agriculture感覺是指一段時間, 好像該用完成式的動詞來表示, 在此處為何可以只用簡單過去式代表呢????

2. for 10,000 years 應該用現在完成式; for the 10,000 years, from... to... 應該用過去式.
(C) (D) 10,000 years 沒有定冠詞,使得句子前半和後半的 10,000 years 不一致.
所以就時態而言 (C) exceeds 不對, had been 不對; (D) exceeds 不對, has been 對一半, (E) exceeded, did 對的.

between 1990 to 2000 換位子,意義也不太一樣: (A) (B) 放句首修飾全句; (C) (D) (E) 修飾 growth

為何只用過去式, 不需要到完成式？？

因此要用過去式喔

至於for 10,000 years和for the 10,000 years

我想差別是在於加定冠詞的for the 10,000 years是指過去的某一特定時間

所以用過去式

而for 10,000 years 是作一件事已經持續一段時間到現在還在繼續

EX. I have lived here for 10 years.

因此要用現在完成式喔
