(A)(B)(C) the publisher of the W. post;(D)(E) 變成it's publisher,前者才是比較正式的用法;此外...

(A)were developed as a way of solving:redundant
(D)(E)redundant

one more question. in A, "and it was under her command that the paper won high praise "--> is "it"虛主詞? or =the paper?

I assume "it" is 虛主詞..if so, then 句子中那麼多 "it" 就有不同指代了耶

Thanks a lot.

Moving into the first rank of American newspapers only after~ , The Washington Post won high praise under her command for its unrelenting reporting of the Watergate scandal.
