看到were
應該可以判斷出road要用複數
至於the first 後面是否可以加複數名詞

第二個選項怎麼改呢？

用 latest 一定是錯滴 ! 句意是說明步驟一 :舖木頭 步驟二 (就是lastest的位置)鋪石頭 .

因為用second的話 會有 "期待" third的味道在....所以
我想改and then , 不知道其他大大意見?

可以的。
比方說，「第一批哈佛畢業的台灣學生」，你非用複數不可。
