bassblur \$m[1]:Hey all, I just got the acceptance of Goizueta business school and therefore want to learn more about this school, especially alumni's career developments. As most prospective students, I do concern whether the brand of "Emory" is strong enough. Please provide some penerating views or examples instead of statistics. Thank you very much for your kind help and advice.

Opps.. mine is also finished on Jan. 27. However, I believe that you still have the chance because the interviewer told me that the result usually will not be released after 4 to 6 weeks. It is possible that they are still reviewing your profile. Good luck!!!
MarkHsu \$m[1]:let me add a different perspective to this discussion. Fundamentally, Taiwan is a very insular market with very limited demand for top MBAs.
If you were an employer, why would you pay US$100,000/year when you can get away with paying just US$30-50k/year at the most?
So I think when you pursue an MBA, I personally think you should decide if it is a ROI issue for you.
If yes, think about working outside of Taiwan because the chances of coming back earning global pay are limited even if you attend a top 15-top 20 school.
If no, consider yourself fortunate that you or your family can afford NT 4-5.5 million for 2 years for a piece of paper. = )
In my best guess, I think there are at most 10-15 positions in Tw a year that pay approx 3 mm/year for graduating MBAs.
Strategic Consulting firms with a Taipei presence:
McKinsey (6 positions/yr), BCG, Booz Allen
Investment Banking:
IBD (nearly non-existent), Equity Research (covering tech and financial), S&T (is there such a thing in Tw? My understanding is that it is no where as lucrative as it is elsewhere)....
I personally think an often overlooked area is Private Banking. You make great money, the lifestyle is pretty good, and this is probably one of the few areas that being Taiwanese has its unique advantages.
PE:
There are also a few PE shops, but you have to pay your dues in consulting or banking first.
