我直接從對的答案來拆解結構吧....之後我再說其他四個選項哪裡錯了....

主要子句，主詞是『the healthy care company』，動詞是『became』

but then proved unable to handle the increase in business,
對等子句，與主要子句平行對稱，共用主詞『the healthy care company』

falling months behind in paying doctors and hospitals.
分詞修飾前方句子

整句的翻譯是：在經過幾年快速的成長之後，這家醫療照顧公司成為了最大的醫療照顧提供者之一在城市地區，但是後來證明他無法處理增加的商業，無法按時付款給醫生及醫院。

所以就A選項及B選項來看，『while』的表達沒有『but』好....

『while』可以表達出兩相對照的感覺，可是無法表達出轉折....所以在這裡『but』會比『while』更能清楚表達出語意....

就C選項來看，『it』太過累贅....『but』帶出平行對稱也經很清楚了，所以主詞可以共用，不需要使用代名詞來重複主詞....

就D選項來看，『proving』文法結構錯....一方面來說，已經有『but』當連接詞了，『proving』應該改成『proved』....另外一方面，『proving』找不到跟前方任何結構可以平行對稱....

我的理解 要省略 那麼but前面的comma應該拿掉
用comma隔開的話就應該是下一句話 subject用noun或pronoun來表達
不然就變成run-on
有誰能夠解答到底ellipsis可以使用!?

關於envily大大的問題，我就我知道的來回答一下....

首先是，『conj後面必須的subject可以這樣隨便省略嗎？我的理解，要省略，那麼but前面的comma應該拿掉。』

就我所學過的文法來說，『對等連接詞〈and，but，or，yet〉』前後句子的主詞只要一致的話，那主詞省略是比較好的寫法，稱為『compound predicate』....

至於，連接詞前方的comma是否一定要取消，這我倒是沒有聽過....

關於envily大大舉出來關於GWD10-18作為例子....

我的想法是，GWD10-18的考點根本就不在連接詞的部分....

所以我無法判斷這樣的寫法是不是『必須的』....

關於連接詞後面接相同主詞該不該省略, 在11thOG 紫本 No.93題有解釋到:

答案(B), 而A.C錯的原因是:The prounoun "it" before the second verb results in an ungrammatical construction; removing the pronoun removes the error.

因為在其他OG的題目中也有出現連接詞後接與前句相同的主詞沒有省略的情況, 所以大家還是依照句意來判斷有沒有省略會不會促使句意更加完整

2. proved需用被動語態, it is 一起省

ex:
Mary wears a raincoat ,but still get wet. (其中Mary被省略了)
句子簡潔~避免重覆

判斷方式：
『在省略句中，省略的部分代回主詞後，可清楚表達意思』

第2個判斷點：

選項D的解釋有提到
原題(D)..... ; their wines are being priced to sell, and have ....
解釋(D)...... omitting the subject they means that the comma should be omitted as well
所以如果連接詞連接兩個句詞而第二個句子又沒有主詞的話應該是必須要省略","的
也因此我認為D,E應該都不能選

而答案C不選因為pay 後面要加to

其次在11thOG第71題
答案的解釋裡有提到
.... Using a participle(doubling) rather than a pronoun(which) allows the phrase to modify properly the entire clause that precedes it.
所以在選項A,B中 falling 可以修飾整個句子
也就是說「公司證實無法handle the increase in business」導致「falling months behind in its payment to」
但是falling 也可以視為which fell months behind in its payment to
語意不明
所以我選B
