說同位語也可以，但我覺得更正確是說"獨立主格"
獨立主格(可當補充說明用): N(此主詞可和主句的主語不同)+adj(主動)/pp(被動)
簡單說，就是有獨立的主詞，省略連接詞並將動詞改為分詞
"each contributing according to its " 我認為可以還原為
,and each planet contributes the combined gravitational pull according to ....

each 通常就是modify 逗號前面的名詞，去連接詞，動詞改分詞, 就變成D

A,B,E最大敗筆在"their"
C的話在"each of which" + contributes
"each of them"+ contributing

我記得在大全裡有好幾題這樣的形式:

N,many of whom are...N
N,many of them N(少了are)
為什麼是這樣，我也不太清楚，請有心人說明一下好了。
