答案給(D), 總覺得(A)比較對，有好心人士可以幫忙一下嗎？謝謝！

我選(A)的理由主要是因為句意上應該以the Inuit people lead a nomanic existence為中心, sheltering...是說明住的細節，是這樣嗎？
另外查了一下字典，似乎until recently是可以接簡單式??雖然有規則說看到recently就要找完成式

(A)若按照句意的說明, Inuit過著一種游牧民族的生活, 而這種游牧民族的生活是居住在igloos和用石頭骨頭...等等建造的結構中, 但是若高中人文地理沒記錯的話, 游牧民族的生活應該是"逐水草而居", 而不是題目所說的

(B)同A, during recent times 顯得囉唆

(C)in the times that are recent 囉唆, led用過去式表他們已經不再過這樣的生活了, 不對

(D)up until recently (截至目前為止) 字典上的確有這樣的用法, 而D修正了A所解釋的錯誤, 將句子的主要傳達的意思帶到Inuit所居住的結構描述, 將游牧民族的生活此句用adj clause的形式來修飾Inuit, 句意完美

(E)until recent time囉唆, leading a nomadic existence修飾前一句, 不對

先明白一下題型，插入句變補語，補語變插入句，導致句意混淆；這種題型完全是在考句意，文法可能完全正確

例：Old Moh, the famous instructor, teaches Gmat in Taipei. (句意重心在動詞，即老莫教AT)
變成：Old Moh is a famous instrctor, teaching Gmat in Taipei. (句意重心在動詞，即老莫是名師)

作答時如果無法判斷什麼補語，什麼是插入句，就會迷迷糊糊，無法作答。關鍵當然是由動詞，以及沒有劃線之處，進行判斷

以本題來說，由於不好判斷，給了很多其它的錯誤協助作答，如A的時態、BC的redundancy、C的run-on、E的被動

像 igloos 和 structures 後都有詳盡的介紹, 如果不是本句的重點, 那何苦用那麼多字數來解釋他們
反觀 led a nomadic existence, 感覺只是簡介 the Inuit
所以答案 A B C 都不能選 E的were sheltered用被動 題目主動 答案被動 錯!

剛剛已有大大說明 up until 用過去式
until recently用過去或過完皆可

所以A只能用句意錯誤來刪除, 無法用時態把它刪除~

大家認為呢??

我是以何者為主要句意把 (A) 刪除的, 而且recently 用完成式表示事情目前還存在 (until recently 直到最近/現在囉!),如果用過去式,有目前已不是那樣的含意. (NYT 的句子用過去式,意思是 Inuits 目前已不是游牧形式存在,但是 igloo 目前還有,作什麼用呢?矛盾喔!)
(D) Up until recently, the Inuit people, leading a nomadic existence, have sheltered ... = Up until recently, the Inuit people, who leads a nomadic existence, have sheltered ... 豆號中間的字去掉不影響主要句意,游牧形式存在只是來補充說明 Inuit people, 重點在 Inuit people 自古至今都還住 igloos.

查了一下字典
[Until ][Up until ] if something happens until a particular time, it continues and then stops at that time:
這樣意思並不是『截至目前為止』，而是曾經如何如何，但自從"某個時間"後已經停止了

因此只能用過去式
Until recently, Anna worked as a teacher in Japan.
Up until last year, they didn't even own a car.

前人說的Until另可加上現在完成式的句意應該是
up to now/until now
Until now, doctors have been able to do very little to treat this disease.

所以還是要用句意和時間關係來看
如果是指一個過去曾經存在，現在已經不是(not any more)的狀況（Up until recently）(Up until) ,則用過去式
如果是指從過去到現在(up to now....)，則用現在完成式

根據Bonus的文章來看，目前這些印地安人應該已經不再維持游牧生活方式了。
所以應該是A
