Dear prospective students:

I am a first year student of Darden MBA and cordially invite you to the Q&A session in Taipei on Saturday December 23rd. There will be two current students and two alumni in this event. We will like to take this opportunity to share our first-hand information about the job prospects, living quality, 100% case teaching method and well-structured curriculums at Darden. Darden MBA is consistently ranked among the best MBA programs in the world (http://www.darden.virginia.edu/html/sta ... 22&id=6668) and is famous for its general management program. Beside, if you have time to list questions you would like to ask, we will prepare more helpful information to let our discussion more efficiently.

另外，平均收多少台灣學生? 我印象中，台灣學生很少，是什麼原因呢??
難道是真的白化嗎??可以說依下台灣學生的background嗎??

Darden所在的維吉尼亞州的確很很白，就歷史原因而言，可能是維吉尼亞州的首府李奇蒙曾經是南北戰爭時南軍的首府的關係！就但另一方面而言，這裡的生活水準很好，近來在US TOday上, DARDEN所在的Charlottesville是美國最適合居住的小鎮，整個維吉尼亞州就是很美，所以很多比較有錢的白人都搬來這裡或是北維吉尼亞靠近DC的地方住，而房地產近年也漲了不少！

去年而言，我知道有６個人申請上，３個人去念了其它間學校，１個明年才要來念。
至於申請上的人的背景，有人是行銷背景，有人是會計背景，有人是保險背景，DARDEN是前１５中很不重ａｔ成績的學校，原則上你的分數有達到平均６８０，你就應該全力放在你的ｒｅｓｕｍｅ，ｅｓｓａｙ，特別是將你對學校的了解程度上表現在ＥＳＳＡＹ上。

essay裏沒這一題呀，
通常要學校問"why Darden?"才會寫到"對學校的了解程度"，不是嗎?

我覺得應該是能夠有機會表現就表現吧?
例如講到自己的teamwork特質, 就順便帶到因為自己的特質, 可以貢獻該校的什麼什麼之類的....
或者是學校重視啥, 你也可以特別提到啥....
不知道這樣會不會太over..:P

James Su-Ting and Jeanette Wang CHENG Scholarship - half or full tuition - This scholarship shall be used to attract the best and brightest students from East Asia to Darden by providing a two-year scholarship to first year MBA students who have accepted admission to Darden. The scholarship will be renewed in one’s second year as long as the student is in good academic standing (min. 3.0000 GPA). First preference shall be for students from Taiwan, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macau, or Singapore. If these preferences cannot be met, then the scholarship may be awarded to a student from other East Asian countries.
