因為我覺得C中的They不知道是代替誰??they是主格 ,不可能代替plants阿?!....所以我選D,原本是想說which整句修飾plants...說明plants...但現在發現them應該也是只plants...不可能....那到底是怎麼解呢??
靠句意嘛??那C的意思是什麼呢??覺得那個so that 怪怪的........
麻煩...請指教!!

只剩下C了,全句應該是Employing the same techniques (which are) used to genetically enhance plants so that they(plants) are disease- or ....

used to genetically .... or pest-resistant 為形容詞子句修飾techniques
"so that" 是連接詞

刪去A, B: 因為主詞是researchers，用by和with修飾怪異(忘記是OG哪一題提到的規則)

剩下CDE，剛去查了cambridge，techniques可以接for 和of

(2)She's a wonderfully creative dancer but she doesn't have the technique of a truly great performer.
所以之前有人提到表目的(in order) to所以直接刪去E 是有點危險的~

E被刪去的原因是因為that=plants，這樣造成them沒東西可指
D被刪去的原因同E，which優先指代最靠近名詞plants，所以them一樣沒東西可指

我寫OG的題目，還沒遇過用which可以指代前面一整句話的，希望不是記錯，可以請其他MM來指教嗎?

不過翻遍 歐機 ，還真沒看過 which可以這樣用的。

這題到底是不是 ETS的題目呢？有一點懷疑

上去CD的討論看也很多人在討論這題
題目中的 the same techniques其實已經暗示了這種技術之前是有別的用途的
只不過現在有新的用途，為了怕不清楚，所以用used to enchance plants修飾techniques
所以employing 跟 used to 的功能不一樣，所以不是語意重複

對不起!我必須更正 (D) 的 which 用法是錯誤的: which 在 GMAT 不能指代句子.
較佳選項應該是 (C), 句子不是很完美,但是 (D) 的 which 是個主要的錯誤,不能選.
used to 其實用 to 就行(要ㄠ的話,就說 used to "用來",可以跟前面 employing 的語意區隔); so that 連接子句就可以了.

可惜上課時他沒有講解這一題
我覺得(D)應該不會是答案 which還沒看過可以修飾全句的

而used to是修飾techniques
句意是:科學家採用和改善植物基因方法一樣的方法...

employ跟use跟本是不同的用途 不能說同時出現就錯

若是C選的 話 那麼used to 不是表示（過去習慣於嗎 ）？？
這樣不是跟原本題目used for 表示（ 被用來作某目的的 意思 ） 不一樣了 嗎??
