請問一題
GMATPrep SC語法筆記的第37題 (出自於Prep)

答案是給D 我選B
一開始我把DE都先刪掉了,因為我認為他脫節
In addition to her work應該不能接Mary Leakey's contributions
而是要接Mary Leakey 吧
這樣her才有東西代啊
可是其他選項都不太平衡,我只好勉強選了B
結果正確答案是D
我很訝異耶
B選項不會造成脫節嗎?
還是說用所有格沒關係呢?
請指教!!!

應該是
前面的her對後面的Leakey's
前面的work對後面的contributions

我ㄧ開始會刪掉ABC 因為
her work 對應的主詞是Leakey's contributions
若用her=Mary Leakey語意上有改變
A B E:and 兩邊沒平行

請多指教~個人淺見

謝謝上面兩位
我覺得用平衡來看的話,選D就很合理
可是我的問題是
前面出現了her
後面就應該有一個名詞,是her所代替的東西
可是往後面找找不到啊
這樣不就是代名詞出問題了嗎?
好困擾 ^o)

her 可以是受格,所有格.
這裡 her 是所有格,呼應 M.L.'s

可不可以放在一起，一起比較？

比較起來覺得這一題是在考除了文法錯誤之外，哪一個選項平衡的比較好

52（D）跟129（E）的差異是129（E）and後面少一個her，所以破壞了平衡

在129（A）也是對的情況之下，那麼句首her是不是就不一定要用Mary Leakey's 來對應了啊？

句子前面出現代名詞所有格 her, 後面本尊 (Sb) 可以所有格或主格出現.因為讀者清楚知道 her 就是從本尊而來.
句子前面若出現代名詞主格 she, 後面本尊只能以主格出現.因為 she =/= Sb's.

129 題 (D) 因為 and 兩端 discovery (狀態: N) 和 documenting (動作: V) 不平衡,所以不能選.

129 題 (A) 裡 through her discovery... and through her... documentation... 平衡

嗯嗯，，我也做錯了，把her當成she找指代對象

A的and前後不平衡
C的she was a contributor不好，用動詞佳(也算改變句意了)
E的dicovering不好，直接用discovery才對

剩下BD以句意決勝

contributor比較常用的意思，是指書或文章的共同作者。

B是 In addition to N1.….., ...contribute (v) by N2 + by Ving
D是 In addition to N1……, ...contribution (n) including N2 + N3

在邏輯上沒有犯錯的前提下，當然是D好

(C)的with也有很大問題!
with修飾archaeology 句意不對! 修飾was也奇怪!
with後面的內容找不到地方修飾!

請問Dibert大，

兩題放在一起還是不太懂，要跟您請益一下，兩題前面都是her work，為何後方主詞可以不同呢? 所以後方不管用主格或所有格前面都可以用her來指同一人嗎?
