OG的解釋有一部分我看不太懂：
(D) Correspondingly increased sales is awkward and unclear;

我覺得Correspondingly當副詞修飾increased，increased當形容詞修飾sales，並沒有什麼awkward and unclear的地方啊？有人可以更進一步解釋這樣用那裡不好嗎？

我覺得Correspondingly當副詞修飾increased，increased當形容詞修飾sales，並沒有什麼awkward and unclear的地方啊？有人可以更進一步解釋這樣用那裡不好嗎？

increased sales=並不能感覺到增加的那部份，只能知道整體銷售增加了。

increases in sales=清楚表示是後來增加的那部分。

看不太懂og對於when / if 的說明．．．
不過記得有人提過when的概念是比較瞬間、當下的
這題如果用when，句意上即成無論任何時候，只sales跟不上，問題就立刻、一定會跟隨發生
想像一家公司每天的庫存/銷售持續在變動，production cutbacks可能就是今天有，明天沒有，後天可能又有...不合常理
(A)(B)(C)在句意上是有問題的

og 84 explaination：

感覺上 when 表示條件是同時發生.
這一題似乎不挑剔 when 和 if 的意思而著重在修飾語錯置跟主動詞不一致.
(A) 可以是 when {unaccompanied correspondingly} by increases... 或是 when unaccompanied {correspondingly by increases...};
unaccompany 好像沒這個字: unaccompanied 由 accompany 的過去分詞加否定字首而來,應該是形容詞,不是動詞 unaccompany 的過去分詞表示被動(有個 by 在後面,如果當形容詞,介係詞應該用 with).
(B) 主動詞不一致: leads 應該是 lead.
(C) 不簡潔.
(D) 主動詞不一致: leads 應該是 lead.

(我覺得這題設計的還蠻精巧的)

關於(C)OG的解釋Past tense were indicates a completed event, but can lead indicates a possibility that continunes;
---->到這裡我就覺得有點奇怪了，這五個選項每個都是pass tense,
接著OG說when is used to refer a condition. (然後沒多做解釋)
這樣嚴格講起來(C)選並似乎沒有多大的錯誤
如果不套用在第一段解釋(在選項解釋上)的兩個要點
1. Unaccompanied is not wrong but not accompanied puts greater empahsis on the negative.
2. if is preferable here-->indicates a condition
光靠agreement在A,C,E選一個還真是費時

另外，大家對於(C)選的用語corresponding sales increases想法如何?

這題我想用奸詐來形容 (精巧也行啦)
原本我想用簡潔來選 所以除了B D一開始刪掉以外
接下來我就把E給刪掉了
雖然這是我自己實力不夠啦 不知道when和if還有區分
另外 我記得之前補習老師有提到 如果
increase 當成N 通常 increase in都會是正確的選項
我不確定這是外國人的習慣用法還是啥的 不過好像有些可信度
因此 這邊C的corresponding sales increases 感覺不太好
雖然怎樣不好 我也說不上來 請高手在補充吧

我不是高手~正好今天也複習到這個題目

1) when 表示一段期間, 而if 表示條件, 所以OG說if is preferable here;
我個人覺得11版的OG有很多小瑕疵, 造成下面ABC選項反而說when是condition, 應該是打錯了, 不然怎麼又會在E說 if properly introduces a condition in this sentence.
通常when都是指某段期間, "當...那段期間" 的意思, 講兩件事情同時發生
我覺得句意在這裡用if 會比when好, 就是條件句, 因為後面接can表推測結果,
句意很明顯的表達當沒有相對應的業績成長, 成長的庫存能導致....

2) unaccompanied 沒有 not accompanied直接表達負面的意思
3) corresponding 修飾increase in sales比較清楚
D 裡面的 correspondingly increased sales會表達那個increase是過去發生的事情, C的were也是有時態上的錯誤表示過去, 後面又接了can...時態有嚴重不一致的錯誤

至於C裡的corresponding sales increase我覺得意思沒有corresponding increase in sales來的清楚, 但也不是明顯的錯點(比起correspondingly副詞的ambiguity, 這意思還算清楚)

og裡面選項有很多這樣情況,我讀都是當作og提式選項不對的地方,
譬如(a)選項解釋when is used to refer to a condition.也就是說這選項when是這樣用,
但是和上面的解釋 if indicates a condition不同
故可以知道(a)選項錯誤的地方

關於這題，除了修飾語的問題之外，主詞到底是Rising inventories還是inventories呢?
按照OG 11選項(B)的解釋似乎是認定主詞為inventories
但我不太明白為什麼?

(B)Plural subject inventories doesn't agree with the singular verbs leads.

這題我也有類似的問題,當初看會想說Rising動名詞當主詞,後面要單數
不過今天問了旋元佑大師,他說rise是不及物動詞,所以後面不能有受詞
換言之,這邊Rising就只能當adj了
因此,inventories就是n.(主詞)沒錯~~~
