between X and Y=> 去掉D和E, 有between卻沒看到and; E也錯在被動
help 直接加 V => 去掉B, help the listener in Ving
A, C決選, 眼睛被什麼東西蓋到, 居然選了被動的C, 殘念+o(
在仔細看第二眼, 原來這裡除了考主動被動, 還考subject-verb agreement, 真丟臉沒看到

B) help in determining->help determine
C) 被動, 主詞subtle differences, helps-> help
D) 有between沒有and; help in determining->help determine
E) 有between沒有and; 被動; help in determining->help determine

這題像在考簡潔.
(D) (E) 可以 between...and 不成對很快地排除外, (B) (C) 都不簡潔.
(C) 被動少選,而且主動詞不一致.
(B) differences 不會 hear

是的. help 後面有動詞, to 幾乎都是省略的.
difference "in" + N (差別"在"...)

看到 in + how 就想到 in + wh- ，就開始研究 in 是從子句中的那裏來的，而忘了 how 根本就不是關係代名詞
