請問 ...percent of N...V 這邊的V單複數要看哪裡阿?
是percent of 不管後面N是單複數就要用複數V?
還是要看N的單複數決定V的形態?

我之前也有一樣的困擾
後來想了很久 覺得應該是句意的問題
句意大概是
在19世紀,許多公共場所都已經裝了(had installed)電力照明,但電在當時住家仍不多(electricity was in less),住家的電大多都是由煤氣什麼的來供給(lighting was still)
另外,通常出現過去完成式都會有對應的過去式,來表明是比過去式更早的時間
有錯請指正~~~

這樣這裡時態不就不平行?
雖然過去完成式通常 要有過去式來做個比較...
可是這裡如果but後面用過去式
句意上不就代表"家庭沒有電力"這件事比較晚發生...?
照理句意應該是要說同一個時期發生的是才對吧!

PS：這題我錯三次了，雖然我有看到E的where修飾有問題
但我會忍不住想 應該可以跳躍修飾 因為邏輯上electricity不可能用where
。 在來，我實在選不下去時態不平行的句子,我認為這錯誤很大!

still 沒有與完成式連用的規則. where 引導的關係子句所修飾的句子是過去式,用過去完成式就修飾不到啦.
