覺得被動比較合理 i.e. style is comformed to Sth, (B) 也挺對稱: 'body's shape' vs 'flaunting shape'

除非 not... and not... 不然應該不會有and not 這種東東...

其實答案(B)還有一樣錯, 這個body是指物, 其怎麼可以用body's來表示物的所有格,必需用something of body,例如答案(A)中的shape of body...

感謝貢獻對這一題的看法! 希望集思廣益盡快突破這樣的問題. (很困擾,幾乎都錯在這樣的題目:二選一,錯的那個比較中意!)

總覺得 (A) 裡用的那個 conforming 不太對勁; OG 裡的 Ving 補述從來不會修飾一個受詞, 99% 這樣的用法修飾前一句,表示同時,伴隨,藉由.
依照 OG 的用法, conforming 最可能修飾的是 designers... have adopted... ; 問題是 designers 怎麼會 conform to the shape of the body ?? 這樣的觀念有沒有問題?

(B) 用過去分詞, conformed 的確可以修飾最接近的名詞片語 style of smooth surfaces and curves ,句意也無可厚非.固然 body's 少用, and not 少用,似乎罪不致死,有什麼致命的缺點讓 (B) 必殺呢?

有沒有 body's 一定不選,或是 and not 一定不選的規律? 或者它們什麼時候一定不能選?

PP-Test1 的確有一題 Ving 修飾受詞,兔大的解法是看結構選答案(法令要醫生花時間陪病人那題).這一題有沒有 conformed 一定錯的理由?

1. 如果是 that..., and that... 這兩個 that 都不能省略; 2. 如果 that = curves 它是複數
conforming 的主詞是從句意推測的,大部份 (90%) 的情形它的主詞是 designers

(A) (B) 一個主動,一個被動,水火不容,如果 (A) 對, (B) 應該有個理由一定不能用被動. ??

designers conform to the shape 不合理,應該是 design (i.e. style) conforms to the shape: conform 作不及物動詞
或者 designers conform the style to the shape => the style is conformed to the shape (by designers): conform 作及物動詞
題目的應用傾向不及物動詞 (i.e. 以 designers 作主詞,不會再來一個 by designers),所以 (B) 用被動不合理.

conform to the body's shape 句意的重點在 shape, 因此 body 放前面隔一層紗.

就我了解, 分詞片語放句末做修飾語可修飾三種東西
1.主句的主詞
2.主句末的那個名詞
3.主句的句意(就是對前面那個句子的句意做修飾, 非單修飾一個名詞)
印象中這三種修飾方式在PP或OG中都有碰過, 至於修飾的是哪個才對要依句意決定

此題答案A中 conforming應是對that is more ergonomic的句意做修飾

另外答案B之所以錯是因為and前後不平行
前面是the body's shape(名詞), 後面是flaunting shape for its own sake(動作)

至於要以's作為判斷點我個人覺得不是一個保險的方式
記得曾經看過有人整理OG中所有的's , 其中有很高的比例是用在非生命體
並不像莫老師所說的那麼絕對, 所以最好還是能找到其他的判斷點
