being 似乎沒有必要,但是說狗正被養來... (有些人正在養狗來...),也無不可. i.e. 語出這句話的同時,有一堆人正在養狗.

(B) 1. their 指代不清,看到 (A) 有 dogs 就選 dogs 囉! 2. their being 不選, 3.從 being bred {for looks and to meet...} 換成 being bred... and meeting... 改變平衡結構(句意)

想請問or不是要講求平衡
那A選項的or是什麼跟什麼平衡, 如果是for looks 跟 to meet, 那不是名詞跟動詞, 怎會對稱呢???

看到Prep語法裡解答說for looks or to meet平行修飾bred, 是功能平行, 不是形式平行, 表be bred的目的, 可是莫老師也曾說過要硬梆梆比較, 還是說or並不像and那樣嚴格的要求硬梆梆比較呢???

請大大解答

遇到這題,開一下眼界,修飾也可以平衡:罕見;就像句意平衡一樣少見.
硬梆梆比較仍然有 90% 以上的正確率.
ETS 說好了茹素偶而也會開葷,小心了!破 700 心裡有譜,大概至少一題這樣的.

CDE...改變句意...PP詳解上又說....是it表語從句....用法錯誤!!

我想請問一下....那正確的....it表語從句....長什麼樣子??...又...該怎麼在考試中使用ㄚ??

the cause is that dogs... => it is the cause that dogs... (加強語氣); 語氣不同,如果原句表達無誤,就要以變句意排除這個選項.
the cause... is not so much that dogs are... as that the breeds... 改為加強語氣: it is not so much that the cause... is that dogs are... as that the cause... is that the breeds...

In choices C,D,E 'it' doesn't have clear referent.

我感覺看國外的帖，都說C,D,E很奇怪，或許這不是正確句子的寫法，不是語氣加強的問題
