the way a cobra does 應該是要修飾"broadening the fleash behind its head" , 所以不能再加逗號了

那個平衡三個，and前面加逗號的原則，應該是V+O, V+O, and V+O的結構吧!

這裡我看的感覺是一串串名詞加在一起，所以不必逗號。

另外,請問B選項

對於樓上為何沒逗號的問題...我覺得不要太死記規則
可能還是要感受一下句意才比較能理解
這些ing的句字還是插入句吧?! 不然是什麼?
hissing and rearing back, ...這兩件事有相關所以先用and連起來成為一段片語
然後borading ... and feigning .... 這兩件事有相關，所以再用and連起來成為另一段片語
所以這些片語是以兩個分詞為一單位的，
我想如果還有第三組分詞
ving .... and ving...
理論上前面就會變成 , and ving ... and ving...
不過寫到這種程度，大家看了一定想扁人

我想問的 是既然最後面(it)will fall over ......沒有補主詞, 那麼其句意應該是but it has.....and will fall......但是題目中再and前面多了 一個 逗號, 這樣不是表示and之後應該是要一個 完整子句的 形式嗎?? 那這樣來看的 話,是不是題目少寫一個 主詞呢? and eventually, if its pursuer is not cowed by the performance, (it)will fall over and play dead

我覺得這裡and前加"逗號"很合理阿!
如果不加的話 代表與but同一層級
但是and後面的句意 不應該跟but的句意做平行
所以應該是加逗號拉到跟首(主)句做平行
因此省略的就是首句的"The hognose snake" 不是it.
