但對於正確答案[C]卻有疑問。我的問題是-
關代"where"作用上等於"in which"，which指代前面的地名(應為noun)，但是"overseas"在這邊應該是adv而非noun。所以該怎麼解釋呢?

in which 和 where 在 GMAT 是不相通的.

我知道"where"當關代時，等同於"介詞+which"，其中which有連接詞的功用，用來指代前面的地方名詞。

ex: I know a good restaurant where we can taste delicious food.

這邊的where=at which. 所以"where" not always == "in which"。

另外你又提到 - "反之,不是地點,不能用 where" vs "正因為 overseas 是副詞,所以用 where"。那原句"... overseas, where ..."麼解呢?

我以為，"where"除了當關代，還可以當一般連接詞，用來說明前面那個子句的地點正式後面那個子句發生的地點。

ex: I want to visit him where you went last week.
