這題的答案是(A) 但是為何事a阿? 因為我覺的再a當中的of those是指of one percent of americans, 是我誤會句意還是怎樣?我覺得應該代替是americans而不是這百分之ㄧ的美國人?為什麼不是e 阿?

我也覺得這題的選項A怪怪的。因為全句的動詞在 had suffered 跟 had become，兩者時態都是過去完成式，然而全句沒有過去式(published/born 都是分詞)，這應該跟文法不合。

希望大家提供一下意見。

這研究必是過去時間發表的,由於統計的數字必是根據在發表之前的數據,所以裡面的內容是過去的過去.由於數據隨時在變,可想用現在式必然不合理.因為這已是過去的事實,而且是研究發表之前,所以用過去完成式.
(A) 裡的 those 指 Americans (of those 對應 of Americans).
由此, (B) (C) (D) (E) 就都刪掉了.
其它的錯誤:
(B) they 指同樣的美國人在1905年以前出生,又在1955以後出生,顯然不合理;
(C) 6% of those, those 像是指前面 1% of Americans (改變句意);
(D) the 6%: 在1905年以前出生,又在1955以後出生的 6%, 蠻嚴重的語病;
(E) of the time 當時顯然不是現在.
