I think In "A", the word being is redundant. Having crippled is having crippled, no need to say Having BEING crippled. In GMAT, being is not recommended to use.

文法是小錯 那個being ETS喜歡省略 這是文法上的小錯
那個用having 是嚴重的文意大錯
have 使役動詞
A) Having the right hand and arm being crippled by a sniper's bullet...
雖然後面有明確指出 by a bullet
但還是有Horace Pippin找人來開那一槍的意味
使役動詞 是關鍵字



然後那個(D) The right hand and arm..不及(E) His right hand and arm....來的好
因為E用所有格 沒得挑剔了 再明確不過了
而D -the-則是說 你知道它在說手臂 但是沒有指定是Horace Pippin的
雖然可以合理推論是Horace Pippin的 但終究不及E明確
也許(D) the right hand and arm...我們可以凹說 Horace Pippin有收集手臂的嗜好
他收集了好多手臂....其中有一隻手臂被槍打掉了.....

OG什麼都沒解釋 他只說這樣寫不好....
哈哈 所以這題的(A)是詐領保險金選項 (D)是不當嗜好選項
