Many winemakers use cork stoppers; but cork stoppers can leak, crumble, or became moldy, so that those winemakers must often discard a significant proportion of their inventory of bottled wine. Bottlemaster plastic stoppers, which cannot leak, crumble, or mold, have long been available to winemakers, at a price slightly higher than that of traditional cork stoppers. Cork prices, however are expected to rise dramatically in the near future. 我的題目理解如下:
整篇文章都在講winemaker使用軟木塞的壞跟塑膠的好...
第一句話比較像是作者合理的推測....因此我覺得 (A)及(B)的........opposes我就不會選了...
第二句話我覺得是作者在提倡塑膠的好...
(C)the second provides evidence......沒有證據吧..!!
(D)the second is a restatement......哪來的restatement

所以=>(E)囉...只是我覺得第一句話The first is a conclusion drawn in order to support the main conclusion of the argument
不是那麼肯定......

不過第二句說的是塑膠塞有很好的機會搶攻市占率

不是那麼肯定......

注意兩句話前面的轉折語
1. therefore [boldface]
2. And since....., [boldface]

所以第二句boldface是整篇的conclusion (main conclusion)
第一句boldface和第二句boldface逗點前的部分都是導致這個main conclusion的兩個原因(兩個支持)
但第一句therefore本身是承接前句[Cork prices, however are expected to rise dramatically in the near future.]而來的推論。
也就是說它本即是一個小結論，這個小結論又可繼續推論，支持main conclusion

所以E才說The first is a conclusion drawn in order to support the main conclusion of the argument.

哈哈，我也有過類似的經驗
問問題時如果能把想法整理、敘述一遍
常常靈光一閃 答案就自己跑出來了，原本混淆的也釐清了一大半
這也是CR版隱而不顯的另一重要功能
