想請問為什麼IF條件句後面的主要子句不用"will"呢
"if 現在式, 未來式." -->不是應該是這樣嗎?

(A)(B)錯, 題目未劃線的部份提到exercise(現在式)，考平衡, associated-> associate
(C)(D)錯, required...and will gain 不平衡

所以選到E

就像樓上提到的問題, 題目明明就是if...., 後面這句怎麼沒用未來式? 而且OG還說一定要改成現在式，剛去翻了一下cobuild文法, 原來經常發生的事情可以用現在式或是現在進行式

另一個考點細節是比較, OG說do在(A)(C)(D)裡一定得去掉否則會影響比較
我想是因為不清楚是拿do 和 前面的require或是gain比, 不知道大家怎麼解釋為何要去掉do?

(本來是覺得do倒裝的關係, 但又記得看過than後面主動詞倒裝, 所以猜測應該不是因為倒裝的關係)

這題考時態一致性:可以削去 (A) (B) (C) (D) 而選到 (E).

比較的時態相同可以省略助動詞.

把 (E) 還原:
...associate with other calves, they require less medication and gain weight more quickly than those raised in confinement (require medication and gain weight)
這樣一來, in confinement 雙向修飾 raised 和 require... and gain... 所以加助動詞時倒裝可以避免副詞修飾不清:
...associate with other calves, they require less medication and gain weight more quickly than (do) those raised in confinement

因為 require 和 gain 都有比較, do 必需同時代這兩個動詞 (= require... and gain... ).這樣應該沒有文法上的問題.

我知道助動詞相同時可以省略的原則, 我也看過比較時倒裝把助動詞往前移的句子

但我還是不清楚為何在11版的OG冒出了這麼一句話- the verb do ungrammatically interrupts the comparison and should be eliminated.
A/C/ D- .... do must be omitted.
(詭異的是這段話是10版沒有, 11版出現的)

我想知道為何這do 變成干擾而必須刪掉勒?

請問這是唸太久的龜毛症嗎? 對於每個OG的句子都開始有疑問啦~~~

OG 解釋:
The comparison is between calves and those (referring to another set of calves)；the verb do ungrammatically interrupts the comparison and should be eliminated．

我想可能是嫌它礙眼,所以最好刪除:把 do 去掉,好讓 than 直接接上 those 去比較.
還蠻多時候遇到的題目如果可以省略而沒有省略,解釋裡都是說那樣子是不合語法.

我想可能是在突破中的關係,所以疑惑比較多.就像鑿洞,鑿通以前屑屑很多,通了以後屑屑就少了. (當然,如果沒有去鑿,也不會有屑屑的喔!)
